We remember it as if it were yesterday — the first time she knocked on the door of our atelier unannounced, sketches of jewellery in her hand.

To a whole incoming generation of young goldsmiths and jewellers she is proof that with fearlessness, talent and the resolve to work hard you can reach the very best in the trade, even with no prior experience and fresh out of school. That decision of hers is part of what made us who we are today.

It did not take long for her place at the head of our team to become quite literally irreplaceable. And it is she whose unending smile and human touch make all of us feel at home here.

And you, our dear and irreplaceable clients — have you ever considered that every single one of you who takes something home from us is wearing a piece of her? She is responsible for the distinctive design, the composition and the visual execution of your jewellery.

During a consultation she can take the way you have always seen a piece of jewellery and, with a stroke of a real pencil, turn it into an idea you can picture — and its making we then see through together, with the whole team.

02Master jeweller

Our jewellery god. There is simply no other way to put it.

More than 35 years of active practice as a jeweller, gathered above all abroad, make him a master among masters and a walking encyclopaedia of the trade.

During his years in Moscow he had the chance to work for many great names. For Pope John Paul II he had the honour of taking part in the handmade execution of papal insignia and liturgical objects. He is also one of the very few in the world who, after long years of practice, managed to create perfect replicas of Fabergé jewels.

Beyond those projects his portfolio holds many other striking works — the ones that made him the master jeweller he is today.

His superhuman patience, his discipline and his ability to see a thing and then make it by hand more precisely than any master we, or you, have ever had the chance to meet make him a legend that every atelier at home and abroad may proudly envy us.

We want to thank him, here as well, for choosing us as the place to practise his craft, and for teaching us things no one can ever take away. Thank you.

03Pavé and gemstone setter

Sandra

The youngest member of our team. A pavé and gemstone setter, trained under the personal supervision of the company's director.

As he himself would put it: “An absolute exception and an anomaly among the young generation. This girl must be taken under one's wing and have the doors to the world opened for her.”

Her clear vision and precisely defined goal are the reason that within a few weeks she had mastered engraving techniques that even very advanced masters of the field might envy.

The recipe for real success in the future is above all her unyielding nature — it is what let her recognise the opportunity, give up her studies in art history and choose a world in which every detail and perfect precision decide. Behind her finishing touch stand hundreds of hours of practice and thought, and they show in the quality and the character of the jewel you wear from us.

04Goldsmith · wedding bands

Fero

A patient creative and observer who knows how to do things the traditional way — and therefore the better way.

One of the few talents for whom the doors of Slovak workshops opened at a very young age, and where he built his skill above all at the side of experienced masters. Wedding bands are his passion and his speciality, and most of you who wear your band comfortably on your hand have his precise sense for everyday comfort and for how a piece has to work to thank for it.

His calm, his harmony and his quiet at the bench often leave the rest of us simply smiling as we watch the way results reliably come about under his hands.

05Setter and jeweller

Mário

A tactical humorist who nonetheless takes jewellery a little too seriously at times.

His practical experience and his passion for the detailing of a piece bring us, and you, a broader view of how to always find the way to a perfect, glittering result out of our workshop — in every last fold of it.

It should be added that his long years of working with people and clients are also why he keeps reminding us that humour will carry you further.

Not least, those of you who love a great many gemstones in one place are the most likely to meet his work in our atelier. He turns the experience of a setter and a jeweller into timeless pieces, where the only limit on what you can ask for is his time.

Natália

Devotion, discipline, perceptiveness and playfulness in one person.

On behalf of the atelier we are certain that many of you could only envy her courage. If anyone fits in among us perfectly, it is her. A blend of personalities, temperaments, abilities and the qualities of an artist, all in one place.

In the words of the company's director, she is a singular young personality whose strength lies in how fluidly she adapts and in a complete ability to learn things at a pace that, under normal circumstances, ought to take a person a lifetime.

For our atelier she takes care of the whole run of 3D models, the technologies around them and their subsequent processing.

07Gemstones · sourcing and trade

Adrian

The exception that proves the rule.

To take hold of your youth and add to it the ability to do several things at once — and to do them well — is not something one usually sees. Adrian, though, is clear proof of it. He trained in several crafts at once, one of them goldsmithing and jewellery making. While he was still finishing his studies gemstones became his passion, and he has devoted himself to them full time ever since.

Right at the start of his work with our atelier, his ability to win at auction, or to negotiate, and then deliver to us the kind of stunning gemstones you too have the chance to see and to wear showed itself as almost unbelievable.

Today we can state without a doubt that he brought our atelier the ability to compete on price even with the most established houses.

With his incredible flexibility in meeting your most demanding requests he has become an inseparable part of our work. Thanks to his talent for trade and our honest craftsmanship, we can enjoy these singular gemstones together.

It should also be said of Adrian that his passion has newly grown to take in the cutting of precious stones, and we will soon be putting those skills of his fully to use.
